| This study aimed to compare the genetic diversity of populations of Solanum lycocarpum A.St.-Hil between natural and human disturbed environments, with the assumption that protected areas have greater genetic diversity than disturbed areas. For this study, two populations were sampled in Goiás State, Brazil. One was located in a conservation unit, Serra de Caldas Novas State Park, in the Caldas Novas municipality. The other was located in a pasture area in the municipality of Morrinhos. The two populations are 41 km apart. | Este trabalho teve por finalidade avaliar a diversidade genética e o parentesco de 24 acessos de Theobroma grandiflorum, introduzidos de três unidades da Embrapa, objetivando sua utilização como genitores no programa de hibridação da espécie. Os marcadores genéticos utilizados foram lócus heterólogos de microssatélites desenvolvidos para cacaueiro. Foram encontrados 45 alelos na população estudada. O número médio efetivo de alelos por lócus (2,33) foi menor do que o número médio de alelos por lócus (3,21), indicando que muitos alelos têm baixa frequência. A heterozigosidade observada nos lócus polimórficos variou de 0,33 a 1,00 com média de 0,54 e a heterozigosidade esperada variou entre 0,48 a 0,76 com média de 0,54. | O objetivo deste trabalho foi investigar a taxa de imigração e a distância de dispersão de pólen e sementes em uma pequena população fragmentada de Copaifera langsdorffii Desf., com base no polimorfismo de oito locos microssatélites. Foram mapeadas e genotipadas todas as 47 árvores adultas e 65 subadultas existentes no fragmento. Adultos tinham um total número menor de alelos (142) do que subadultos (164), sendo 20 alelos exclusivos aos adultos e 41 aos subadultos. | The aims of this work were to estimate the coefficient of relatedness within families and the genetic parameters for growth related traits in a progeny test from an open-pollinated variety of Pinus caribaea Morelet hondurensis Barret & Golfari, established in Mato Grosso do Sul State, Brazil. The experimental design was the triple 10 x 10 lattice, with 96 families, three replicates, and ten plants per plot. Fourteen years after planting, the trial was measured for the following traits: total height, diameter at breast height (DBH), and true volume. | Eighteen enzyme systems were examined in Ilex paraguariensis St. Hil. using starch gel electrophoresis. Seven out of 12 active isozyme systems revealed one or more polymorphic loci (PGI, GOT, MR, G-6PDH, MDH, NDH, and 6-PGDH). However, the segregation and linkage analyses were performed only for PGI, GOT, G-6PDH and 6-PGDH systems. Gene segregation at these loci was regular, except for a few trees that showed segregation distortion. Weak linkage disequilibrium between loci was detected, but it was not enough to influence the multilocus estimate. |

| The aims of this study were to investigate the mating system of a fragmented population of the dioecious tropical tree Myracrodruon urundeuva Allemão, using five microsatellite loci and the mixed mating and correlated mating models. The study was conducted in the Estação Ecológica de Paulo de Farias (436 ha), where the population occupies about 142 ha. The mating system was estimated using 514 open-pollinated offspring, collected from 30 seed-trees. Estimates of the multilocus outcrossing rate confirm that the species is dioecious (t m = 1.0). | The objective of this work was to estimate the mating system parameters of a andiroba (Carapa guianensis) population using microsatellite markers and the mixed and correlated mating models. Twelve open‑pollinated progeny arrays of 15 individuals were sampled in an area with C. guianensis estimated density of 25.7 trees per hectare. Overall, the species has a mixed reproductive system, with a predominance of outcrossing. | O sistema de reprodução de Caesalpinia echinata Lam.foi estudado por isoenzimas em arboreto, usando os modelos de cruzamentos mistos e cruzamentos correlacionados. Desvios do modelo misto de reprodução foram evidenciados pela heterogeneidade nas freqüências alélicas do pólen que fecundou as diferentes árvores. A taxa de cruzamento multiloco foi alta (t m= 0,969), indicando que a espécie é predominantemente alógama. A alta variação na taxa de cruzamento individual (tvariando de 0,77 a 1,00) indica que a espécie não é auto-incompatível.
